YOUNG HARRIS, GA| This week the Mountain Lions earned recognition among the southeast region of division II soccer, being ranked 6th in the region by the United Soccer Coaches Association. This comes after a strong week for the Mountain Lions, knocking off nationally ranked North Georgia before taking the conference opener over Lees-McRae. The YH men's soccer team has used a strong offense so far this season, scoring two goals in each match played. This strong offense coupled with a stifling defense that has only surrendered three goals on the year has paved the way to a 2-0-1 start for Young Harris.Â
The United Soccer Coaches Association is the world's largest soccer coaches' organization that serves members at every level of the game. Improving from being ranked 9th in the southeast region the week before, the Mountain Lions look to stay on the right track as they get further into the conference schedule. Young Harris men's soccer will be back in action today (Sept. 17th) as they travel to Emmanuel in the Roar War matchup.Â
