YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions opened Conference Carolinas play today (Sept. 13th) at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field with a battle against the Bobcats of Lees-McRae. Thomas Kleinpenning shined for YH, netting two goals to give Young Harris a 2-0 victory. Stathis Paplomatas got the start in goal today, playing all ninety minutes and recording a shutout. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• The Mountain Lions struck first in the 31st minute of the match, with Thomas Kleinpenning finding the back of the net by way of a penalty kick. 

• In the 61st minute of the match, Thomas Kleinpenning added his second goal of the day, using an assist from Filip Zander and Bjarne Renner to give YH a 2-0 lead. 

• Young Harris outshot Lees-McRae 7-3 in the match. 

• The Bobcats attempted six corner kicks in the matchup, while Young Harris attempted three. 

• Stathis Paplomatas recorded one save and gave up zero goals in the match. 

• Lees-McRae recorded fourteen fouls in the match while Young Harris recorded twelve.
