YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | YH starts off Conference Carolinas play with a bang scoring two goals within three minutes of game time to take down the Lees-Mcrae Bobcats 2-1 (Sept. 13). This is the second time in three years the Mountain Lions have won their conference opener.  

The Mountain Lions advance to 2-2 overall and are 1-0 in Conference Carolinas. The Bobcats move to 1-3 overall and are 0-1 in Conference Carolinas.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• Freshman Scarlett Hirschy was the star of the day scoring back-to-back goals midway through the second half to give the ladies in white a spark. 

• Hirschy's two goals were the first of her college career.  

• The Mountain Lions amounted 13 shots on the day with seven being shots on goal. The Bobcats accounted for 11 shots with five being on goal. 

• Mountain Lion goalkeeper Clara Williams came up with four timely saves in the second half to keep the Bobcats score at one. 

• Hirschy's second goal was assisted by Emily Brennaman, her first of the year.  

• The Bobcats lone goal was scored by Sarah Jones.
