GREENVILLE, S.C. | After anchoring Young Harris College throughout a strong spring campaign, senior Will Ranieri and freshman Adrian Ronn have been named to the 2024-25 Conference Carolinas Men's Golf All-Conference Team, the league announced Thursday (Apr. 17). The postseason awards were selected by a vote of Conference Carolinas head coaches.
Will Ranieri:
Ranieri opened the spring at the Bearcat Spring Invitational, where he posted rounds of 75 (+3), 78 (+6), and 76 (+4) to finish with a 229 (+13), tied for 42nd. He followed that up with a steady showing at the Sherman B. Smith Memorial, tying with Ronn at 149 (+5) to help Young Harris secure a top-five team finish.
He found his rhythm at the Oldfield Classic, where a strong second round of 70 (-2) powered him to a 23rd-place finish with a 222 (+6) total. Ranieri then put together the best tournament of his season at the Music City Invitational, where he opened with a personal-best 66 (-4), followed by rounds of 70 (E) and 71 (+1) to finish sixth overall at 207 (-3).
He kept his composure at the Bearcat Classic, carding rounds of 74, 73, and 72 for a 219 (+3), finishing T-27. At the Conference Carolinas Championship, Ranieri rebounded from a rough opening round to shoot even-par 72 and 73 (+1) over the weekend, finishing T-23 at 226 (+10).
Adrian Ronn:
Ronn began his spring season with a T-18 finish at the Bearcat Spring Invitational, notching rounds of 73 (+1), 75 (+3), and an even-par 72 for a 220 (+4). He followed with another steady performance at the Sherman B. Smith Memorial, again tying with Ranieri at 149 (+5).
At the Oldfield Classic, Ronn placed 15th after firing rounds of 73 (+1), 74 (+2), and 72 (E) to finish at 219 (+3). He continued his strong form at the Bearcat Classic, improving each round with scores of 73 (+1), 71 (-1), and 70 (-2) to finish T-10 at 214 (-2).
Ronn stayed sharp at the Music City Invitational, where he posted back-to-back even-par 70s before closing with a 69 (-1) to finish T-10 at 209 (-1). He wrapped up the season as Young Harris' top performer at the Conference Carolinas Championship, finishing T-11 with a 222 (+6), highlighted by a final-round 71 (-1).
Ronn's composure and reliability made him a cornerstone for the Mountain Lions all season long, being described as the team's most consistent player by the Director of YH Golf, John Lichtenwalner.
