Mountain Lions Dominate UNC Pembroke

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College powered past UNC Pembroke with a 59-45 victory (Saturday 8th), led by Annalise Malone's impressive 24 points and six rebounds. Parehuia Delamere was a force with a staggering 14 rebounds and Kamryn Bates contributed 17 points for the Mountain Lions. The Mountain Lions maintained control throughout the game, with a strong team effort that held off UNC Pembroke, securing the win with solid defense and more than efficient offense.

The Mountain Lions improve to 14-8 overall and 8-6 in the conference, while the Braves dropped to 17-6 overall and 11-4 in the conference.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

· Annalise Malone led the Mountain Lions with 24 points, shooting 11-of-12 from the free-throw line, and grabbed six rebounds.

· Kamryn Bates added 17 points on an efficient seven-of-nine shooting performance, along with three rebounds.

· Parehuia Delamere contributed five points, an impressive 14 rebounds, and seven assists, nearly securing a double-double.

· Lilly Griffith provided solid defense with five rebounds and added four points.

· Young Harris College shot 37.5% (21-56) from the field and 73.7% (14-19) from the free-throw line compared to UNC Pembroke's 29.7% (19-64) field time.

· Anastasia Sinclair led UNC Pembroke with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Garrison Malea added 9 points and eight rebounds.
