DAHLONEGA, Ga. In-state rival no. 6 University of North Georgia bested the Mountain Lions in their match-up on Tuesday, 6-1.

The Mountain Lions move to 0-1 overall and the Nighthawks move to 2-0 overall.
QUOTING HEAD COACH MARCY O'CONNOR:
"Both our men's and women's teams competed against a strong UNG team. The men came so close, just falling short 3-4 in a hard-fought battle., while the women secured a win at line 6. We battled on both fronts, and I'm proud of how we competed."

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- UNG took the doubles point from Young Harris early in the day.
- Callie Stanfield earned the singles point for the Mountain Lions. She took down Emily Bush 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.
UP NEXT:Â The Mountain Lions will continue their road trip this weekend on Saturday (Feb 8
th), where they will play Carson-Newman University. First serve is scheduled for 1PM.
