The Mountain Lions Secure a Commanding 87-52 Win over Erskine College

DUE WEST, SC. | Young Harris College was on the road on February 26th (5 p.m.) to go head-to-head against the Erskine College Flying Fleet at the Belk Arena and emerged victorious with an impressive 87-52 win. Annalise Malone was the player of the game, racking up a staggering 33 points in favor of the Mountain Lions. Erskine's top player, Albany Wilson, contributed 18 total points for her team. 

Young Harris College moved up to 20-8 overall and 14-6 in the conference, while the Flying Fleet fell to 5-21 overall and 3-17 in the conference. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

  • Annalise Malone led the charge with an impressive 33 points on 13-17 shooting and secured a double-double with 10 rebounds. 

  • Kamryn Bates followed with 12 points for the Mountain Lions. 

  • Lilly Griffith made an impact on the boards with six rebounds and added four points to the effort. 

  • Parehuia Delamere controlled the glass with nine rebounds and facilitated the offense with a team-high six assists. 

  • Young Harris shot an efficient 50.0% (30-60) from the field compared to Erskine's 28.4% (19-67). 

  • The Mountain Lions also capitalized from free throws, making 72.7% (16-22) of their shots compared to the Flying Fleet's 58.8% (10-17). 

  • On the other side, Albany Wilson led Erskine with 18 points and four rebounds, while Ahrianna Scott contributed seven points. 

  • Young Harris dominated the paint and out-rebounded Erskine 50-35.
