FLORENCE, S.C. | Young Harris College women's soccer dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision on the road Saturday afternoon against unbeaten Francis Marion at Hartzler Field.
The Patriots, now 8-0 overall and 6-0 in Conference Carolinas play, broke through just before halftime when Tehya Dave found the back of the net in the 46th minute off a feed from Cora Lepper. The goal, slotted inside the near post from 10 yards out, proved to be the difference in a tightly contested match.
With the loss, the Mountain Lions fall to 4-4-2 overall and 3-2-2 in league action.
