JEFFERSON CITY, TN| The Mountain Lions traveled to the home of Carson-Newman University today (Oct. 8) for an out-of-conference matchup. Young Harris fell short in the matchup, falling 3-0 to the Eagles. 

Young Harris moves to 4-5-2 overall and remain at 3-2-2 in Conference Carolinas while Carson Newman moves to 6-3-1 overall on the season. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• Carson-Newman took an early 2-0 lead into halftime with Annika Fend and Malia Kim finding the back of the net. 

• The Eagles added another goal in the 66th minute to take a 3-0 lead. 

• Young Harris recorded four shots on goal in the matchup with Siara Moore collecting two as well as Sunny Bowlin-Stacy and Scarlett Hirschy adding one each. 

• The Mountain Lions attempted two corner kicks compared to three for the Eagles. 

• Emily Jantz and Clara Williams split time in goal with Jantz recording three saves in the match. 

UP NEXT: Young Harris will return home this Saturday (Oct. 11) for a Conference Carolinas matchup with the Flying Fleet of Erskine.
