YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College Women's Soccer team earned a 2-0 victory over Converse University on Saturday (Oct. 25) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. 

Scarlett Hirschy broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, scoring her 11th goal of the season to give the Mountain Lions a 1-0 lead. Siara Moore added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute, finishing off a well-placed assist from Betsy Bu. 

With the win, Young Harris improves to 7-5-3 overall and 6-2-3 in Conference Carolinas play. Converse falls to 5-9-2 overall and 4-6-1 in conference action. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• Young Harris recorded 16 shots, including 8 on goal, while Converse tallied 15 shots, with 6 on target. 

• Scarlett Hirschy led the Mountain Lions with three shots, all on goal, and one goal scored. 

• Siara Moore added four shots, three on goal, and one goal in 52 minutes of play. 

• Betsy Bu contributed an assist and two shots off the bench in 39 minutes of action. 

• Lauren Gauthier and Sunny Bowlin-Stacy combined for five shots in the attack. 

• Goalkeeper Emily Jantz made six saves in a full 90-minute shutout performance. 

• Carolina Gutierrez was issued a yellow card in the 56th minute. 

• Young Harris earned two corner kicks.
