CENTRAL, S.C. | The Young Harris College Women's Soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday (Oct. 18) afternoon at Childs Field.
Lauren Gauthier opened the scoring for the Mountain Lions in the 11th minute, netting her fourth goal of the season off a well-placed assist from Charlotte Brown. The Warriors responded in the 72nd minute when Vitallia Benforte found the back of the net, assisted by Ella McCowen and Hannah Kovalcik.
With the result, Young Harris moves to 6-5-3 overall and 5-2-3 in Conference Carolinas, while Southern Wesleyan stands at 3-7-2 overall and 3-4-2 in conference play.
