Young Harris, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's soccer team kicked off their season at home on Thursday (Sept. 5) afternoon. The Mars Hill Lions scored the lone goal in the match to take down the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College, by a score of 1-0. The defensive battle lasted into the final seconds, as YHC put together a last-minute push, but Lions goalkeeper Camryn Miller came down with the ball to seal the win for MHU.Â
Head Coach Avram Allen stated, "All in all, we played good soccer. Today we failed to execute in the final third and we failed to win our individual battles." Continuing, "We will get back to the lab tomorrow and get ready for Saturday."Â
