BRISTOL, Tenn. | The Mountain Lions women's soccer team took on the King University Tornado on Saturday (Sept. 14) afternoon at Parks Field. The Tornado took a 1-0 lead with 20 minutes remaining in the second half. As the game winded down, Young Harris made a couple of last-minute substitutions to get their attack formation on the field. The Mountain Lions pushed late, and Gracie Smith found the back of the net at the 85:53 minute-mark to tie the match at 1-1. The score would remain that way as the clock hit triple zeros and both Conference Carolinas squads earned the tie. Young Harris moved to 0-3-1 through the first four games of the season, and King University moved to 0-2-1 overall.
QUOTING HEAD COACH AVRAM ALLEN:
"We wanted the win, but we will take the point. We will continue to work towards that first win of the season."
