Young Harris, GA| The Mountain Lions women's tennis team faced the Emmanuel University Lions on Thursday (Mar. 28) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.  

Young Harris advanced to 7-8 overall this season and Emmanuel dropped to 6-8 overall. YHC return to action on Friday (Apr. 5) afternoon when they take on Belmont Abbey College at home in Young Harris, Georgia. 

INSIDE THE SCORE SHEET:

• The Mountain Lions swept the Lions in doubles matches, with wins coming from the pairings of Meghna Mallath and Emily Bush (7-6), Simone Mercier and Holly Ashford (7-6), and Catarina Marcko Ferreira and Luciana Bejarano (6-4). 

• YHC went on to split the singles matches, so Emmanuel and Young Harris earned three points each. Bush (6-2 and 6-0), Bejarano (6-2 and 6-2), and Mallath (6-3 and 6-1) won the three singles matches for the Mountain Lions.
