TIGERVILLE, S.C.| In the final game of the regular season, the Mountain Lions came out on top over the North Greenville Crusaders 68-65 (Feb 28th). Carl Cleveland paved the way for YHC after putting up 22 points and nailing over half his shots from the field.
The Mountain Lions advance to 17-11 overall and are 11-7 in Conference Carolinas. The Crusaders move to 10-17 overall and are 4-14 in Conference Carolinas. YHC will travel to Wilson, North Carolina to face #11 King University on Sunday (Mar. 3) evening at 6 p.m. on the campus of Barton College.
· Young Harris led by one heading into the half, 38-37. They were able to hang on in the second half and beat the Crusaders by three thanks to Karl Chavis nailing a last second foul shot.
· Carl Cleveland finished with 22 points, going 8-15 from FG and 2-3 from beyond the arc.
· Karl Chavis and Cole Deptula also contributed to the offense, with 11 and nine points on the evening, respectively. Nate Dunlop was another difference maker, shooting 3-6 from the 3PT line with nine points.
· YHC made 48% of their 3PT shots to NGU's 22%.
· Caleb Williams and Zak Perdew were players to watch on the Crusaders' side of the ball. Williams finished with 17 points and Perdew had 11.
