Young Harris, GA| The Mountain Lions women's tennis team picked up their third straight victory, this time, taking down the University of West Georgia Wolves, 4 to 3.
The Mountain Lions improved to 3-2 this season but are now 3-0 in 2024 matches. YHC handed the Wolves their first loss of the season, to drop UWG to 2-1. Young Harris returns to action on Tuesday (Feb. 20) at 11 am, where they face Piedmont University in Demorest, Georgia.

UWG took two of three doubles matches over YHC, but the Mountain Lions pairing of Simone Mercier and Holly Ashford dominated their set, winning 6-0.

Young Harris picked up four singles victories in six singles matches.

Mercier (6-1, 6-4), Emily Bush (6-2, 6-1), Luciana Bejarano (6-2, 7-6), and Viviana Gomez (6-4, 6-2) each picked up a singles win.

Karla Menendez and Callie Stanfield each won a singles match for UWG.
