TIGERVILLE, S.C. | The Young Harris College volleyball team fell 3-2 to Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday (Nov. 16) night in the opening match of the Conference Carolinas Tournament. SWU took the first set, 25-19, before Young Harris won sets two (25-20) and three (25-23). The final two sets would go to the Warriors, in close battle, SWU bested YHC to move forward in the conference tournament. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• Shelby Mullins dominated, scoring 19.5 points on 16 kills, two solo blocks, and one block assist. 

• Lily Hidalgo (16 points) and Nicole Klucharich (11 points) ended the match as the Mountain Lions second and third leading scorers. 

• Lyza Thigpen recorded 27 digs and Joha Bernis picked up 21 for herself. 

• Thigpen also added 49 assists. 

• The leading scorer for the Warriors was Michaela Andress with 16.5.

The Mountain Lions now look forward to the 2025 season after a Conference Carolinas Tournament appearance this season.
