YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's soccer team is on to the Semifinals of the Conference Carolinas men's soccer Tournament. On Sunday (Nov. 10) evening, the Mountain Lions took down Belmont Abbey College, three nil. Sergio Llopart was the star of the show all night long, as he netted three goals in route to his first collegiate hat-trick. Young Harris College will face the number one seed, Chowan University, on Friday (Nov. 15) evening.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• The Mountain Lions controlled the pace of the game from start to finish, showing off exquisite class throughout. 

• Young Harris had 17 shots (8 SOG) and BAC rattled off 10 shots (1 SOG). 

• Sergio Llopart scored three goals on four shots, for six points scored in just 57 minutes spent on the pitch. 

• Thomas Kleinpenning recorded five shots (2 SOG) and an assist. 

• Stathis Paplomatas pitched the shutout, securing a save on the only Crusaders SOG. 

• The BAC keeper Trent McConnaughey stopped every shot on net from players not named Sergio Llopart, recording four saves. 

• The Crusaders committed seven fouls, while the Mountain Lions recorded six.
