FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | Young Harris College dropped Tuesday night's divisional road contest, 3-1, against Emmanuel University.
Jamie Lapsley scored the first and only goal for the Mountain Lions in the 46
th minute. Emmanuel netted the equalizer in the 52
nd minute and three minutes later, Nathan Walker found the back of the net to put the Lions up 2-1. Alex Walker's tally in the 78
th minute put the exclamation mark on Emmanuel's' victory.
With the loss, Young Harris moves to 7-2-3 overall, 6-1-1 in conference play, and 5-1 in the Southwest Division. Emmanuel improves to 6-3-2 overall, 5-3-1 in conference play, and 4-2 in the Southwest Division.
QUOTING HEAD COACH DEAN GREY:
"We found ways through and created good opportunities, but we couldn't find the back of the net in the big moments to stretch our lead. Decision making and errors allowed them back into the game. It just wasn't enough tonight. On to Saturday with a chance to respond on senior day."

- Jamie Lapsley continued his scoring ways and broke the scoreless tie in the 46th minute to put YHC ahead 1-0. He corralled the ball at the top of the box and lasered one high and into the back of the net.
- Emmanuel responded in the 52nd minute. Matt Fitzer found the back of the net for the fourth time this season to even the scoreline at one.
- Three minutes later, Pau Nel-Lo Recasens took a quick free kick and booted it cross field to Nathan Walker. Walker took one touch and slotted the ball into the lower left corner to give Emmanuel the 2-1 lead.
- Alex Walker got on the scoresheet in the 78th minute, which put the exclamation mark on Emmanuel's 3-1 victory.
- YHC held the advantage in shots on goal (10-7) and corners (7-2) but just couldn't capitalize.
- Emmanuel's goalie Natxo Faus finished the match with nine saves.
- Ian Aycock got the start in goal for the Mountain Lions and recorded four saves.
