Young Harris falls 4-1 to Carson-Newman

YOUNG HARRIS, GA.| To give the Mountain Lions an early lead, Joel Whittingham scored an unassisted goal into the back left corner of the net. Shortly thereafter, Nic Carsh and Paul Csmarich both contributed on the offensive side of the ball for the Eagles, with one goal and one assist each. The final score of the game left the Eagles on top, 4-1. 

The Mountain Lions move to 0-2-1 overall and remain 0-0-0 in Conference Carolinas, and the Eagles move to 2-1-0 overall and remain 0-0-0 in the SAC. YHC is back in action against North Georgia this Sunday (Sept. 10th) at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field starting at 6:30pm. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

· At the 12:59 mark, Joel Whittingham scored a goal to put the Mountain Lions on top early in the 1st half. 

· Young Harris held an edge on Carson-Newman in shots by period, topping them 20-18. 

· Nic Carsh and Paul Csmarich each registered one goal and one assist each for the Eagles. 

· Thomas Kleinpenning registered a high of 5 shots on goal for the Mountain Lions, while Thomas De Graaw led the Eagles with 5 as well. 

· Stathis Paplomatos recorded 2 saves and Federico Simonetti recorded 4.
