YOUNG HARRIS, GA.| Thomas Kleinpenning gave the Mountain Lions the go-ahead goal in the 2nd half, but the game ended in a 2-2 tie with the Bears this Sunday evening (Sept. 3rd).
The Mountain Lions move to 0-1-1 overall and remain 0-0-0 in Conference Carolinas, and the Bears move to 0-0-1 overall and remain 0-0-1 in the SAC. YHC will play at Carson-Newman in a non-conference matchup this Wednesday (Sept. 6th) at 6pm.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
· After the Bears went up 1-0 in the 1st half, Jamie Lapsley scored first following halftime at the 63:01 mark. He was assisted by Quinn Thompson.
· Thomas Kleinpenning scored a long goal from midfield at 68:22 to make the score 2-1.
· The Mountain Lions outshot the Bears 13-10.
· Bears' goalkeeper Camden Coleman recorded 5 saves, while YHC goalkeeper Stathis Paplomatos recorded 4.
