YOUNG HARRIS, GA. In a 5-set thriller, the Flames push past the Mountain Lions for the win. The Mountain Lions won the 1
st and 3
rd sets but couldn't keep up in the 5
th (8-15).
The Mountain Lions move to 6-7 overall and are 3-2 in Conference Carolinas, while the Flames move to 10-6 overall and 2-2 in the Gulf South Conference. YHC hits the road this weekend to play some conference opponents; Lees-McRae (Sept. 29
th) and King (Sept. 30
th).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Nicole Klucharich and Lily Hidalgo led the Mountain Lions with 13 kills each. Klucharich finished the day hitting .505.
- Abby Stroh puts up a double-double for the Flames, with 22 kills and 12 digs.
- Chase Vaigneur and Lyza Thigpen both had 3 service aces for Young Harris.
- Joha Bernis continues to reach new defensive highs. This afternoon she recorded a season high of 31 digs.
