MILLIDGEVILLE, Ga. | The Young Harris College Volleyball team picked up two wins against Albany State (3-2) and The University of West Georgia (3-1) on day one of the Bobcat Classic on (Sept. 1) in Centennial Center. The Mountain Lions improve to 2-0 while the Rams fall to 0-2 and the Wolves fall to 1-1.


INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

Game 1

• Lily Hidalgo and Chase Vaigneur led YHC with 15 kills each, Faith Kelly added two, Sophie Bearden recorded seven, Alexa Berry added six, and Lorin Tidick had three for a total of 56 kills. 
• The Mountain Lions edged the Rams in assists 53-43. 
• Mollie Lawrence led YHC with 24 assists and Lyza Thigpen added 17.
• Joha Bernis and Vaigneur led the team in digs with 14 apiece. Lawrence recorded nine digs and Hildalgo had eight. 
• YHC recorded 16 service aces.
• The match consisted of 19 tie scores and seven lead changes. 

Game 2

• Hidalgo led YHC with 14 kills. Vaigneur had 13 and Kelly added eight.
• Thigpen recorded 19 assists and Lawrence dished out 14.
• The Mountain Lions fell in the first set, but rallied for three straight sets to win the contest.
