ROME, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's tennis team defeated Shorter University 6-1 in a non-conference match Wednesday (April 12) afternoon at the Walt Attaway Tennis Complex.
The Mountain Lions improved to 8-10, while the Hawks remained winless in 12 tries. YHC returns to action Friday (April 14) when they host Georgia College & State University at 2 p.m. at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
INSIDE THE SCORESHEET:
- Young Harris swept all three double matches - only dropping five games - to earn the doubles point.
- The Mountain Lions won five singles matches in straight sets. Meghna Mallath sealed the YHC victory with her 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles.
