TIGERVILLE, S.C. | Behind four singles win, the Young Harris College women's tennis team earned a 5-2 non-conference victory over North Greenville University Saturday (Feb. 18) afternoon at the Vance Tennis Complex.
The Mountain Lions improved to 2-5, while the Crusaders remained winless in five tries. YHC will host Carson-Newman University in a 2 p.m. match Sunday (Feb. 19) at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
INSIDE THE SCORESHEET:
- The Mountain Lions took the doubles point as the Young Harris claimed wins in the second and third flights.
- Emily Bush, Meghna Mallath and Catarina Marcko Ferreira all won their singles matches in straight sets, while Louise Ratiu pulled out her match in a super tiebreaker 10-5. Bush didn't drop a game in her win.
