YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Georgia College & State University recorded a four-set Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball victory (25-27, 25-15, 25-19, 25-11) over Young Harris College Saturday (Sept. 17) afternoon at the Harp Recreation and Commencement Center.
The Bobcats improved to 6-7 overall and in first place in the PBC at 3-0, while the Mountain Lions fell to 3-10 and 0-3. Young Harris returns to the floor Tuesday (Sept. 20) when they travel to Greenwood, South Carolina, for a 6 p.m. league match against Lander University.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- The Mountain Lions hit .186 as a team with Chase Vaigneur (14) and Lily Hidalgo (11) finished with double-figure kills.
- Mollie Lawrence posted 31 assists, while Vaigneur and Joha Bernis recording two service aces.
- Bernis led YHC with 16 digs, while Hidalgo added 12 more. Vaigneur contributed seven, while Lawrence had six.
- Sophie Bearden had three total blocks (two solo, one assist). Lorin Tidick, Hidalgo and Shelby Mullins each recorded one assisted block.
