AUGUSTA, Ga. | No. 39 Augusta University picked up a 7-0 Peach Belt Conference women's tennis victory over Young Harris College Sunday (March 27) afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center.
Tha Jaguars improved to 14-3 overall and to 2-3 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 5-10 and 0-2. YHC returns to action Friday (April 1) with a 2 p.m. PBC match in Dahlonega, Georgia, against Blood Mountain rivals University of North Georgia.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Meghna Mallath lost in three sets for the Mountain Lions at No. 3 singles. She dropped the first set 6-0, before taking a 6-4 win in set two; however, she lost 10-5 in the super tiebreaker.
- Catarina Marcko Ferreira lost a close match at No. 5 singles by the scores of 6-4, 7-6 (4).
