DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. | Jenna Teterycz scored 17 points to lead the Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University women's basketball team past Young Harris College 66-57 Saturday (Dec. 17) afternoon at the ICI Center.
The Eagles improved to 6-4, while the Mountain Lions fell to 5-4. YHC breaks for the holiday and will return to action at 2 p.m. Jan. 1 when they travel to face No. 15 Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Dustie Obah led the Mountain Lions with a career-high 18 points. The junior shot 5-of-9 from the field, including 4-of-7 from downtown.
- Mackenzie Johnson added a double double for YHC with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
- Embry-Riddle shot 52 percent from the floor (26-of-50), while Young Harris connected on 33 percent (20-of-60) from the field.
- Embry-Riddle jumped out to a 12-2 lead and led 17-10 after the first quarter. The Mountain Lions battled back to take a 31-29 lead into halftime as they outscored the Eagles 21-12 in the second stanza.
- The Eagles took a 53-47 lead after the third quarter and took their largest lead of the game - 12 points (59-47) - midway through the fourth quarter.Â
