YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College fell to the University of Montevallo 3-0 in a women's soccer match Friday (Sept. 10) evening at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

The Mountain Lions fell to 2-1-0 while Montevallo improved to 1-1-0. Young Harris returns to action Tuesday (Sept. 14) at 7 p.m. against Emmanuel (Ga.) College in Franklin Springs, Georgia.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE: 

• The Falcons scored three unanswered goals in the second half. 
• Montevallo's first goal was shot into the upper left corner of the net by Zariah Nogales at just over 10 minutes into the second half. 
• Montevallo's second goal of the night was also scored by Nogales. Her second goal of the night was shot into the upper right corner of the net in the 66th minute. 
• The final Montevallo goal  was scored by Kacey Alejandre off an assist by Heather Gomez.
• Young Harris recorded nine shots on goal while Montevallo led with 11. 
• Aimee Durn, Alexis Scarpinato, and Britt Verstegen all had two shots on goal for the Mountain Lions, while Thea Juul, Jhena Ellerbe, and Jasmin Keller had one each.
• YHC's Mckenna Peaster recorded four saves in goal.
