GREENWOOD, S.C. | Lander University defeated Young Harris College 27-25, 23-25, 25-7, and 25-14 in a Peach Belt Conference women's volleyball match Tuesday (April 6) evening at Finis Horne Arena.

The Bearcats improved to 2-8 overall and 2-8 in the Peach Belt, while Young Harris remained winless in 10 tries.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• The Mountain Lions for the second consecutive match won a set when they took the second set 25-23. YHC nearly won the opening set as they had a game point before falling 27-25.
• Jessica Becker, who hit .476, led YHC with 12 kills, while Amber Cunningham had seven and Hailey Hart posted six.
• Alex Boydstone corralled 20 assists, while Kori Still added seven.
• Marie Ahern had two solo blocks and assisted on another one.
• Emily DeBerry paced the Mountain Lions with 13 digs. Cunningham tallied seven, while Boydstone and Hart had five apiece.
