Mountain Lions fall to Gamecocks in exhibition

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. | The Young Harris College women's basketball team fell short to Jacksonville State University 91-58 in their exhibition game Tuesday (Nov. 30) evening at the Pete Mathews Coliseum. 
 
The Mountain Lions remain 6-0 while the Gamecocks advance to 5-2. Young Harris returns to action Tuesday (Dec. 7) with a 6 p.m. central tip off against West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama. 
 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
  • Carly Winters led the Mountain Lions with 16 points. Winters hit four three pointer's and was 4-of-4 at the free throw line.
  • Mackenzie Johnson and Niaya White added 12 points each for Young Harris and had a combined nine rebounds. 
  • Carissa Spiker had 10 points and distributed two assists. 
  • Young Harris had their best scoring run -nine points- in the fourth quarter with just over eight minutes remaining.
