YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Augusta University held off Young Harris College 24-26, 25-18, 25-17, 16-25. and 15-9 in a Peach Belt College volleyball match Saturday (Oct. 30) afternoon at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center.

The Jaguars improved to 17-7 overall and to 4-2 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 3-17 and 0-6. Young Harris closes out its home schedule with a 6 p.m. PBC match against Lander Tuesday (Nov. 2). 

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Lily Hidalgo led the Mountain Lions with 13 kills, while Shelby Mullins registered 10. Chase Vaigneur collected nine more, while Sophie Bearden had eight.
• Ginger Truncale distributed 27 assists,while Alex Boydstone had eight.
• Joha Bernis had 18 digs for YHC, while Truncale had nine. Kori Still and Hidalgo each tallied eight digs for the Mountain Lions.
• Young Harris tied its season high for blocks with eight total team blocks.
• Mullins had five assisted blocks, while Lorin Tidick had three. Hidalgo had one solo and one assisted block, while Vaigneur and Bearden had two block assists each.
