AIKEN, S.C. | The Young Harris College men's soccer team recorded a 3-1 Peacb Belt Conference victory over the University of South Carolina-Aiken Saturday (Oct. 23) afternoon at the Pacer Pit.

The Mountain Lions improved to 14-0-1 overall and to 10-0-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Pacers fell to 1-13-0 and 0-10-0. Young Harris closes out its regular season next Saturday (Oct. 30)  with a 5 p.m. PBC contest against Clayton State University at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. The Mountain Lions will recognize their 11 seniors prior to the match at 4:45 p.m.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Young Harris outshot the Pacers 25-3, including a 14-1 margin on goal.
• The Mountain Lions doubled up USC Aiken on corner kicks 6-3.
• Sondre Olsen got the Mountain Lions off to the early 1-0 lead 76 seconds into the match. His fifth goal was assisted by Mikkel Goling.
• The Pacers tied it up at 1 on a goal in the 34th minute.
• Ala Ramadan gave the Mountain Lions the lead back at 2-1 at the 42:00 mark. Ramadan, who scored his first goal of the season, put away the rebound of Yesin van der Pluijm's initial shot.
• YHC scored out the scoring with 85 seconds left in the match as Quinn Thompson lays the ball off to an open Ben Mackay in the box. It was Mackay's second goal of the season.
