YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Lander University edged Young Harris College 1-0 Wednesday (Oct. 20) night in a Peach Belt Conference women's soccer match at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse.

Lander improved to 8-4-1 overall and to 5-2-0 in the Peach Belt, while Young Harris fell to 4-7-0 and 1-6-0. The Mountain Lions return to action Saturday (Oct. 23) in a 7 p.m. PBC match against the University of South Carolina-Aiken for Senior Day.
 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE: 

• Emma Sexton scored the Bearcats goal 23 minutes into the first half, assisted by Katie Arthur.
• Lander outshot Young Harris 13-7 (7-4 on goal) and had an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.
• Pien Van Kampen recorded six saves in goal for the Mountain Lions. 
• Aimee Durn, Jhena Ellerbe, Brooke Morrison, and Jasmin Keller each had one shot on goal.
