YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Saad Maziane scored twice in the final five minutes as No. 4 Young Harris College rallied for a 2-1 Peach Belt Conference men's soccer victory over Georgia Southwestern State University Wednesday (Oct. 20) evening at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

With the win, the Mountain Lions improved to 13-0-1 overall and to 9-0-1 in the PBC as Young Harris claimed its sixth Peach Belt title in program history. The Hurricanes fell to 6-6-1 and 4-5-1. Young Harris will face the University of South Carolina-Aiken in a 4 p.m. PBC match in Aiken, South Carolina, Saturday (Oct. 23).

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Georgia Southwestern State took a 1-0 lead just 83 seconds into the match as Mohammed Amine Mahrous' header came off Nicholas Sciarra's corner kick. 
• The Mountain Lions, who outshot Georgia Southwestern 18-5 (13-2 in the second half), battled back with 4:24 left in regulation to tie the match at 1. Tony Barry played the ball to Mikkel Goling in the box. Goling found Maziane open on the right side and Maziane blasted the ball into the left corner of the net from 15 yards out.
• Maziane scored the game winning with 85 seconds left to put the Mountain Lions up 2-1. Barry crossed the ball in from the left side to Maziane, who was standing at the left post. Maziane slotted his team-leading 10th goal in the back of the net.
• YHC held a 10-3 cushion in corner kicks.
• Eduardo D'Avino recorded three saves in net for the Mountain Lions.
• Young Harris has now won its sixth Peach Belt title in program history. The Mountain Lions had also won PBC titles in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019.
• With the title, the Mountain Lions earned the No. 1 seed in next month's PBC Tournament. The top two seeds earned a bye in the first round and advance to the semifinals Nov. 12 in Evans, Georgia.
