YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Georgia Southwestern State University recorded its first-ever Peach Belt Conference women's soccer victory - a 1 -0 double-overtime decision - over Young Harris College Saturday (Oct. 2) night at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. 
 
Georgia Southwestern improved to 5-4-0 overall and to 1-3-0 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 3-5-0 and 0-4-0. YHC returns to action Saturday (Oct. 9) in a 3:30 p.m. PBC match against Albany State University in Albany, Georgia. 
 
INISDE THE BOXSCORE: 

• Avondrea Singleton scored the golden goal for the Hurricanes at the 105:45 mark off an assist from Geraldine Alvarez.
• Young Harris held an 18-12 advantage on shots, including an 8-7 edge on goal. 
• Anika Elias, Morgan Kasel and Aimee Durn all recorded three shots for the Mountain Lions, while Jhena Ellerbe, Elicia Mulvaney, and Hannah Behner had two each.
• Cassidy Campbell, Amber Beddow, and Jasmin Keller each had one shot for YHC. 
• The Hurricanes held a 9-3 edge in corner kicks.
• Pien Van Kampen had six saves in goal for the Mountain Lions.
