MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Cassue Balzano scored twice to lead Georgia College past Young Harris College 3-0 in a Peach Belt Conference women's soccer match Saturday (Oct. 16) afternoon at Bobcat Field.

The Bobcats improved to 8-4-0 overall and to 3-3-0 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 4-6-0 and 1-5-0. Young Harris returns to action Wednesday (Oct. 20) with a 4:30 p.m. PBC match against Lander University at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Akyssa Bergamini scored in the eighth minute to give Georgia College a 1-0 lead.
• Balzano scored twice in a three-minute span for the Bobcats late in the first half to add insurance goals.
• Georgia College held a 25-6 edge in shots (12-3 on goal).
• Aimee Durn, Jhena Ellerbe and Brooke Morrison each recoded a shot on goal for the Mountain Lions.
• Each team recorded three corner kicks.
• Pien Van Kampen stopped nine shots in goal for YHC.
