YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris men's tennis team defeated Emmanuel (Ga.) College 5-2 Wednesday (Oct. 13) afternoon at the Bob and Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex. 
 
The Mountain Lions improved to 1-0 overall, while the Lions fell to 0-1. YHC returns to action at the Eagle Invitational hosted by Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennesssee, Oct. 22.
 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Prior to the match, Young Harris recognized seniors Herman Ronnberg and Alex Schiltz, who are graduating in December.
• Ronnberg and Schiltz clinched the doubles point for the Mountain Lions with a 7-5 win in the third flight.
• Romeo Luque and Janis Auslands each won in straight sets in singles to give the Mountain Lions a 3-0 lead.
• YHC clinched the victory when Eric DelValle registered a 6-1, 6-2 win in the fifth flight of singles.
• Chimo Minguez Ribera also picked up a three-set win in singles for Young Harris.
