YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's tennis team won four of the six singles matches en route to a 5-2 victory over Lincoln Memroial University Sunday (Feb. 23) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Mountain Lions improved to 5-1 while the Railsplitters sank to 1-6. Young Harris will host Auburn University Montgomery in a 3:30 p.m. match Saturday (Feb. 29).
YHC took the doubles point as the Mountain Lions claimed wins at the second and third flights to open up a 1-0 lead.
After
Ignacio Ascarrunz and
Romeo Luque registered straight-set victories in singles over their opposition,
Kash Reddiyar clinched the victory with a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles.
John Brett also recorded a straight-set victory in singles for YHC.
