AUGUSTA, Ga. | Augusta University led by as many as 24 points in the second half, but had to hold on for a 96-89 Peach Belt Conference men's basketball decision Saturday (Feb. 22) afternoon.
The Jaguars improved to 19-7 overall and to 14-4 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 7-19 and 5-13. Young Harris will return to action Wednesday (Feb. 26) when they face its Blood Mountain rival University of North Georgia in a 7:30 p.m. PBC contest in Dahlonega, Georgia.Â
Tyshaun Crawford led Augusta with 28 points and 14 rebounds, while Miguel Arnold added 24 points. Rafael Monteiro recorded a double dounle with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Tyree Myers dished out 11 assists.
Brian Harper, who was 6-of-10 from the field, led the Mountain Lions with 21 points and six assists.
Ryle Owens posted 19 points, while
Nate Louis added 16 more.
Kristian Collins also scored in double figures with 13 points, while
Jacorie Archie finished with 11 points and five rebounds.
