<strong>Â thrYOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | </strong>The Young Harris College women's basketball reeled off a 23-2 run at the start of the fourth quarter to rally for a 60-50 Peach Belt Conference victory over Georgia Southwestern State University Wednesdsay (Jan. 22) evening at the YHC Basketball Arena.<br />

The Mountain Lions improved to 11-6 overall and to 5-4 in the Peach Belt, while the Hurricanes fell to 5-10 and 1-8. Young Harris returns to action Saturday (Jan. 25) with a 1:30 p.m. league game against Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia.<br />

Georgia Southwestern led 42-37 after three quarters before the Mountain Lions rallied in the final quarter.

Bria Clemmons hit back-to-back three-pointers on YHC's first two possessions to give the Mountain Lions the lead for good at 43-42 with 8:35 to play.Â

<div>Young Harris held Georgia Southwestern without a field goal for the first 8:03 of the period as the Hurricanes missed all six field goals and committed seven turnovers during the decisive run. Jada Grrffin scored eight of her nine points during the deciding rally by the Mountain Lions. Young Harris took its largest lead - 16 points (60-44) - after
Niaya White sank two free throws with 2:08 remaining.<br />

Clemmons led the Mountain Lions with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor, while White and Woghiren each tallied 11 points. White also grabbed 10 rebounds to complete the double double as the Mountain Lions outrebounded the Hurricanes 47-37. Griffin and Woghiren each pulled down six rebounds.<br />

Dominque Jeffrey led the Hurricanes with 14 points.</div>
