JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.  |  Young Harris College fell to No. 21 Carson-Newman University 3-1 in a non-conference women's soccer match Sunday (Sept. 8) afternoon at Harvey Stadium.

The Eagles improved to 1-1-0, while the Mountain Lions fell to 0-2-0. The Mountain Lions host Tusculum University Tuesday (Sept. 10) in a 7 p.m. contest at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field. 

C-N came out of the gate with a goal in the third minute by Lara Hallgrimsdottir. The Eagles added two more first half goals from Makayla Garner to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

Juliana Alarcon put the Mountain Lions on the board in the 67th minute with a header from 13 yards out off an assist by Hannah Behner.
