HARROGATE, Tenn. | Anthony Gimenes scored a goal and assisted on another as No. 4-ranked Young Harris College defeated Lincoln Memorial University 3-0 in a non-conference men's soccer match Saturday (Sept. 14) afternoon at the LMU Soccer Field.
The Mountain Lions, who hit the road for the first time this season, improved to 3-0-0, while the Railsplitters slipped to 0-1-2. Young Harris returns to action Saturday (Sept. 21) at 7 p.m. when they entertain Lee University at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
YHC wasted little time as they jumped out to the 1-0 lead just 108 seconds into the match.

Hayden Tucker, who crossed it to
Rachaun Palmer. It was Palmer's second strike of the season.
Lincoln Memorial cut the lead in half right before the half as Sonnie Mathis scored at the 40:49 mark, but the Mountain Lions got the goal back in the 66th minute. Gimenes played a through ball to
Christian Kirchhoff, who knocked it in for his first goal of the campaign.
YHC outshot Lincoln Memorial 13-3, including a 5-1 advantage on goal.Â
