AIKEN, S.C. | The University of South Carolina-Aiken registered a 7-0 Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory over Young Harris College Thursday (April 11) afternoon at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex.

The No. 8 Pacers improved to 13-2 overall and to 6-2 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 1-13 and 1-7. Young Harris wraps up its season Saturday (April 13) with a 10 a.m. PBC match against No. 3 Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida.

The Mountain Lions nearly pulled out a point against USC Aiken as Javier Villar dropped a three-set match at No. 1 singles to Tales Silva. Silva took the opening set 7-6 before Villar tied the match with a 6-2 win in set two. Villar had five match points in the final set, but eventually lost the third set in an 11-9 tiebreaker.
