YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Lenoir-Rhyne University defeated Young Harris College 6-1 in a non-conference women's tennis match Friday (Feb. 1) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.

It was the season opener for both teams. Young Harris returns to action Feb. 9 when they travel to Williamsburg, Kentucky, for a noon match against the University of Cumberlands.

Oriana Labaqui earned the point for the Mountain Lions as she defeated Iulia Ponomareva at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-2.
