WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. | The University of Cumberlands women's tennis team defeated Young Harris College 7-2 in a match Saturday (Feb. 9) afternoon at the UC Tennis Courts.

The Patriots improved to 1-1, while the Mountain Lions fell to 0-2. Young Harris returns to action Wednesday (Feb. 13) when they travel to Anderson, South Carolina, for a 2 p.m. against Anderson (S.C.) University.

Oriana Labaqui and Carol Quevedo each earned a point for Young Harris in singles.Labaqui picked up a 7-6, 6-4 decision at No. 1 singles, while Quevedo took a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 3.
