GAFFNEY, S.C. | Megan O'Connor scored three goals to lead Limestone College to a 4-0 non-conference women's soccer victory over Young Harris College Saturday (Sept. 1) at Saints Field in the season opener for both teams.

Limestone, which was an NCAA Division II Tournament participant last season,  improved to 1-0-0, while the Mountain Lions fell to 0-1-0. Young Harris returns to the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field Wednesday (Sept. 5) for its home opener against Lincoln Memorial University at 5 p.m.

Alex Mathis gave the Saints a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute before O'Connor scored the final three.

Baylee Roche recorded all four shots for the Mountain Lions, while Pien Van Kampen registered nine saves in goal.
