Browning, Parker lead Patriots past Mountain Lions

FLORENCE, S.C. | Detrek Browning and Brandon Parker combined to score 51 points as Francis Marion University defeated Young Harris College 101-84 in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Monday (Feb. 12) evening at the Smith University Center.

The Patriots improved to 16-7 overall and to 11-7 inside the league, while the Mountain Lions slipped to 7-17 and 6-12. Young Harris remains on the road for a 7:30 p.m. PBC contest Thursday (Feb. 15)  against Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina.

The Mountain Lions got within a point (22-21) after an old-fashioned three-point play from Demari Edwards three minutes later.
