MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Young Harris College and Auburn University at Montgomery battled for 110 minutes and settled for a 1-1 draw in a non-conference women's soccer match Thursday (Sept. 8) evening at the AUM Soccer Complex.
Young Harris improved to 1-0-1 while Auburn Montgomery fell to 1-1-1. The Mountain Lions open up the home portion of the 2016 campaign Saturday (Sept. 10) at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field when they entertain Pfeiffer University.
The Mountain Lions, who outshot AUM 24-7 (10-2 on goal), jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 6:21 mark.

Emily Ober, who beat the Auburn Montgomery goalkeeper and put the ball in the lower right corner of the net. It was Ober's first strike of 2016.
The Warhawks tied the match at 1 12 minutes later when Ruby Mendez scored her second goal of the season after teammate Chelsie China played the ball in from the right side.

Nicole Medeiros recorded one save while Morgan Glenn (six) and Taylor Kitchens (three) combined for nine stops for AUM.
