CARROLLTON, Ga. | Drew Eady drove in three runs to lead the University of West Georgia to a 10-1 non-conference baseball victory over Young Harris College Tuesday (Feb. 16) afternoon at Cole Field.

The Wolves, who are ranked No. 14th nationally, improved to 7-0 while the Mountain Lions fell to 4-3. Young Harris returns to Zell B. Miller Field this weekend as they open its Peach Belt Conference schedule with a three-game set against Columbus State University. First pitch for Friday's (Feb. 19) opener is set for 4 p.m.

Young Harris took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
Nick Sexton reached on a throwing error and moved to second on
Zach Odom's sacrifice. A single from
Brett Westmoreland advanced Sexton to third where he scored two batters later on
Zach Beggs' single up the middle.

West Georgia scored four times in the bottom of the second inning. Eady gave the Wolves the lead for good with his two-run, two-out double down the left field line. Payton Mann and Tyler Hutch each followed with RBI doubles of their own off YHC starter
Bryan Syphoe (1-1).

A two-run homer by Caleb Lopes in the fourth pushed the West Georgia lead to 9-1. Lopes and Cade Marlowe led the 13-hit West Georgia attack with three hits apiece.
